How to deal with stubborn children

0

Stubborn children are hard to handle. One need an earth deep understanding, patience, perseverance and endurance to be able to deal with these kind of children. It is said that lessons are not learned unless repeated. To be able to deal with this kind of stubborn children one must have the heart to win their heart. One must have the will to make them do what you will. One must have a strong voice so you will be heard. What you want them to do must be repeated time and again; what you want to impose on them must be undescored from time to time to be able to get their attention. It is indeed a gruelling task but winning at the end is most rewarding. Winning here means when you are able to make these children follow instructions, and when they become an upright person when they grow up, a person with integrity and high moral values. It is so touching and so elating to remember and see how well they have grown up as an individual.

Raising children is rewarding

0

Raising children is rewarding. But raising not even your biological children is more rewarding though more challenging. It is even at times very taxing .emotionally. Why? because you have to start to adjust to small kids character and attitudes plus to think that these children were molded in their early years in a different environment. An environment full of pains, anger and hate. It is still rewarding to raise children with different attitude towards life. Because these children give us the priviledge to hone our skills on how to handle children. Raising these children give us the chance to reevaluate the way we handle our own biological children. With this kind of experience, it actually give us the chance to rethink how our parenting ways were and correct this so that we may be able to bring out the best in ourselves and the best in these children.

Saving for the future

0

Saving for the future is often in the mind of an individual. It is merely thought at but never acted upon. If a person merely thinks of saving money for the future but doing nothing at all, can be likened to Filipino "Juan Tamad" (lazy person) who is lying on the ground waiting for the guava to fall down and not even reaching the fruit when he can always reach out for this. A lazy person will never succeed in his life. He will always be dependent upon other people. Saving for the future needs conviction and the self determination to reach for your dream. Withou action, dreams will remain a dream and Plans will remain a plan.

Parenting: enjoyable or exhausting

0

Parenting could be both enjoyable and exhausting. Parenting depends on the state of mind of parents because if they are not ready for this role as parents then everything from pregnancy, to child rearing to teen age period of your child is all stressing. However, if the parents are psychologically ready to play their role as parents to their children, then everything and everyday of their life is a joy to celebrate. And if these children are so nurtured with the loving care of both parents then they too become wonderful parents of their future children. Meanwhile, children growing up in stressful parents ended up with miserable life. They have not felt the love and care of their parents so they become miserable parents of their future children. It is a cycle of life. As the saying goes "History repeats itself". However, if children of stressful parents try hard not follow the miserable ways of their parents, instead correct their ill ways and learn lesson from all of the events of their life, these children will grow to be more wonderful parents themselves. Parents endowed with more wisdom to see the light amidst the dark alleys of their life. Enjoy parenting!!!

God is more than a genie

0

In our life we always looked for someone higher than us. We look for someone we can lean on during difficult times of our life. Often man hope of finding a lamp with a genie inside it, so that he can ask for anything he wants in life. We dream that all our wishes will come true. We hope that with just one(1) click of our fingers everything we wish for will be realized. We hope so hard forgetting that there is someone greater than a genie, God himself. A genie could give you only three (3) wishes while God's gift is limitless. Little did you know that every little thing that you wish for had been granted already. So why look for a genie when God's gift for us is limitless. Continue to hold to God because he will do the battle for you.

Insurance for life

0

Why people should have an insurance? Is it a must to have insurance in the family? What good will it give us if we decide to get an insurance? Whether life, health, accident, car insurance etc, generally it is of utmost importance to own one to have ready funds for you and your family members in case something happens. When insurance agent explains the importance of getting one, everything positive about the company and everything good the customers will receive is the main topic discussed. As usual, target customers end-up getting one with the hope that everything discussed will be enjoyed to the fullest when the time comes. However, before ever getting one, whether life, health, accident, car insurance etc, take into consideration the following:Is the company stable? Does the company has enough funds to pay the customers when the time comes. All things being reviewed, the next question that should be considered is, Do you have extra funds to sustain the long period of payments? Because if what you have is mainly the desire to own one and you have no extra funds for this then you will end up not continuing it. You are wasting your money. When you decide to own one take care of this as if it is your life because truly it is your life.

Samal Island, a dream place

0

Samal Island is barely 10 minutes by boat from Davao City. Foreign and local tourists are usually ferried by a small boat which can carry about 20 people. As you cross the deep blue sea, cold wind touches your whole body, as if caressing your whole being. From afar you can see already the silvery white sand in the beaches of the Island Garden City of Samal. It is a dream place to be. But a more wonderful site to be, is the Pearl Farm resort which can also be found in Samal Island. One hitch though it is situated at the other side of the Island and it will take about 45 minutes to go there. If Samal Island facing Davao City is already such an inviting beauty of nature. There is no match to the serenity, pristine water, nature and man-made creation at the Pearl Farm Resort. The native huts, swimming pool which seems to be connected to the sea and other man made creations are indeed beautiful creations of genius mind. Its just like you are in heaven. Indeed a dream place to be with.

Travel to Davao City, the largest city in the whole world in terms of its size, always amazes everyone. Davao City can mesmerize anyone coming in and out of the city because of its size. You are already entering Davao City or are already in Davao City but it seems you are still in a remote area not belonging to Davao City. Great fascination for this city, never wears down because of its excellent weather condition, amazing nature, gorgeous resorts and abundant fruits. Davao City is the gateway to a more fascinating place, Samal Island, which is only about 10 minutes by boat.

Tour to Cagayan de Oro City

0

Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines known as the City of Golden Friendship is one of the fastest growing city in terms of business. Infrastructures such as bridges and high rise buildings are sprouting anywhere in the city. That is why now adays, Cagayan de Oro City is one place that many tourists, foreign tourists for that matter would want to visit. But I didnt realize that I am a tourist to my own city. During our City tour which is part of our lined up activity during our reunion, I came to know that truly Cagayan de Oro City is becoming a booming city in the heart of Northern Mindanao. I had just passed the new bridge connecting Ilaya Carmen to the heart of the City. The tour guide pointed to us another on going construction of a bridge connecting Brgy Kauswagan to Brgy Puntod and learned of the latest attraction of Cagayan de Oro City, a Monument - McArthur Marker about 9 meters in diameter and 5 meters in height. It is made of fiberglass and steel. The five stars represent Gen McArthur's rank as a Five Star General. The McArthur Marker is situated in the Old Macabalan wharf and it is facing the sea. The tour was exciting and educational for me. It just amazes me to know of the newest attraction in Cagayan de Oro City.

Credit Cards: its use

0

Credit cards is overwhelmingly attractive now a days that everyone for sure owns at least two (2) or three (3) credit cards. Owning a credit card gives a feeling of power. Swipe it and hurraahh! Its okey! Its right there in front of you. It's like magic. It gives you the power to own or get anything you want. It gives you the feeling that whatever your heart desire, you get. Because even things that are not important, you are tempted to purchase this. You feel you have someone backing you up to own anything you desire. Owners of credit cards however, tends to abuse this power forgetting that at the end they will still be most affected. Because they will have to pay for this. Credit card holder should bear in mind that with power comes with it sheer responsibility. The use of credit card should not be abused. Credit card is built with trust between the company and the user. It is founded on faith on each other, that each party will do their part as settled in the agreement terms. Credit is actually referring to good name, reputation, standing, position and status. Usually a credit card is issued when your credit has been established. Also anyone who uses credit card should bear in mind that credit card is not for free. Take responsibility for whatever you own. Take care of it because your integrity is always at stake.

Funds for wedding anniversaries

5

When we talk of anniversaries, it talks of money. The usual question ask is, do we have the funds? If you are rich, money is not a problem at all. But for us average earner, money, funds, whatever you call it, does matter. That is why during the preparation stage of our silver wedding anniversary, my husband and I really stretched our budget. We use our creativity. We work within our budget. We searched for the cheapest price with quality service. We don't usually go to one business entity. We visits all and we compare price. One thing that kept us within the bounds of our budget was because we began with no funds at all but with dream that... that day will be our grandest day. It sounds unbelievable! Truth is we have that dream but we do not want to be buried in debts. We have existing debts to pay and we do not want our existing debts to increase. We do not want to be buried in debt. Debts is one factor that hold us not to work harder or strive to succeed. With so much debts available for us in terms of business loan, salary loan, etc we become lazy. We lost interest in our work because we have no more salary to receive. The tendency is that because of so many debts we become buried to debts. And since we are unable to pay our debts, we hide from people we owe money with. You become restless and you have no peace of mind. You are always on the run. So for people who wants to celebrate their anniversaries, save for future event like this. We are lucky though because funds just pour in. Eyong, my brother in-law who owed us money just arrived to pay his debt, my sister Pinky gave us love gift and so our son Rian Tom. It is indeed great blessings from God Almighty. Thanks to you God for preventing us from another possible debts. Thanks God coz you made our silver wedding anniversary a great success!

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
All : Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm (To be Sung)
Reader : Let our response be: “I love the Lord. He is filled with compassion. He turned to me on the day that I called. From the snares of the dark, O Lord save my life, be my strength. (Please Repeat)
All : I LOVE THE LORD. HE IS FILLED WITH COMPASSION. HE TURNED TO ME ON THE DAY THAT I CALLED. FROM THE SNARES OF THE DARK, O LORD SAVE MY LIFE, BE MY STRENGTH.
Reader : Gracious is the Lord and just; our God is mercy, rest to the weary. Return my soul to the Lord our God, who bids tears away. I love the Lord (ref).
All : I LOVE THE LORD. HE IS FILLED WITH COMPASSION. HE TURNED TO ME ON THE DAY THAT I CALLED. FROM THE SNARES OF THE DARK, O LORD SAVE MY LIFE, BE MY STRENGTH.
Reader : How can I repay the Lord for the goodness he has shown me. I will raise the cup of salvation and call on his name. I love the Lord.
All : I LOVE THE LORD. HE IS FILLED WITH COMPASSION. HE TURNED TO ME ON THE DAY THAT I CALLED. FROM THE SNARES OF THE DARK, O LORD SAVE MY LIFE, BE MY STRENGTH. I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES
Reader : I shall live my vows to you, before your people, I am your servant. I will offer you my sacrifice of praise and of prayer. I love the Lord.

When supper was ended, He took the cup. Again, He gave You thanks and praise, gave the cup to His disciples and said:
“TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT. THIS IS THE CUP OF MY BLOOD. THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT. IT WILL BE SHED FOR YOU AND FOR ALL MEN SO THAT SINS MAY BE FORGIVEN. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.”

COVENANT

1. Let me walk with you as we journey through this life,
Searching for each meaning as each moment passes by;
Let the hands of time be like footprints in the sand.
As I carry you from the dawn to the setting sun.

Chorus:

With just one hand
We can travel down together,
One life sharing in love;
I will hold you forever,
Yes I love you all my life.

2. There’ll be many crossroads as we walk along the way,
There’ll be many questions as we live life day by day;
But this never matters
Cause we’ll always be there,
We’ll surely find the answer,
Cause we care…. (Repeat chorus)

Low Budget Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebration

0

25th Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebration on low budget. Here’s how?
· decide the number of visitors – limit to family members and few friends.
· make your own Wedding Invitation – make it very simple, maybe on a ¼ size of bond paper place the what, when and where data of the wedding. This is how our wedding invitation looked then
· Make your own give aways – Don’t buy readymade giveaways. They are expensive. Be creative. You will be proud of it because you made it yourself. We made our give aways. Look for small items that are on sale. We were lucky because we were able to buy a tea cup which cost only P3.00 pesos, a flat candle which cost only about 90 cents and placed with ribbons and tags. The total for each give away after computing all the costs is not even P7.00. This is our give away.
· For gowns and barongs, there are plenty of for-rent attire dress or gown shops. Be practical. Look for shop that offers big on low budget.
· For make-up artist, look for experienced people who offer their services on low budget. There are many of them. Take referrals. If someone in the family knows how to apply make up. Then seek her help. It will lessen your total budget of the affair.
· For bouquet and floral decoration in the church. Don’t go to expensive floral shops. Floral shops situated in the markets offer less with good service. Try to compare prices too.
· For videos and cameras, don’t settle for less. Look for experienced studios that could give you quality shots. Remember this is a very memorable day. But you still have to consider the price. There are plenty to studios that offer services with very reasonable price. Always compare.
· The location of the church and reception must be considered also. Why? Because if you have no car and no friends or relatives to offer a car, you will consider hiring two (2) or more cars for the affair. When the church and the location of the reception is very near it is likely you will hire or borrow only one car. However, it is best that you borrow a car from a friend or a relative to save money on your part.
· Wedding Choir. Request the church choir if you are low on budget. However, if you have financial support you can hire a wedding singer. The decision is up to you both. In our case we had to look for a choir group because the church choir is not available at that time. We did not regret though because they have the most beautiful voice. I felt our silver wedding ceremony was very solemn.
· Motif. The color motif of the silver wedding anniversary may not always be silver. You can combine colors. In our case, our color motif is silver and pink. There is no limit to color choices, one may still use gold if he or she wants it.
· Make a draft of your renewal of vows or your recommitment for each other. Memorize by heart so that when you are made to say it in front of many attendees you wont forget it. When Tommy and I made our recommitment or renewal of vow we were both excited and overjoyed that feelings are hard to express and words are not almost heard.
· Foods is best served on buffet style. Health is of utmost importance. So the more and varied fruits served the healthier.

25th Silver Wedding Anniversary

2

Of all the wedding anniversaries that married couple celebrated, silver wedding anniversary is the most looked forward to. When lovers have been together for 25 years as a married couple, its just appropriate to celebrate their magnificent relationship in a big way. But truth is, not all have the idea until the time has really come. Usually when that time comes, married couples are in quandary on what to do. They are placed in a situation where they have to make decision on how to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary just like the first time when lovers decide to get married.
Couples who reached their silver wedding anniversary, don’t really have the knowledge on how to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. You may have a slight idea from talks and experiences of few people who have celebrated their silver wedding anniversaries. But you are actually faced flatly with question whether to go through the process of church wedding or not. Whether the celebration is going to be simple or grand and though your funds may be low, it is a memorable experience if you go through the church wedding again and recommit yourself for each other in the presence of God. Make this milestone of your life very memorable for both of you.
Just like other silver wedding celebrator, Tommy and I don’t know how to celebrate our 25th Silver wedding anniversary. We researched and talked with older couples and also to couples our age level who have celebrated their silver wedding anniversaries. Not much idea were given to us but with creativity, we manage to pull our way and make our 25th Silver wedding anniversary the grandest even on very low budget.
Here are some tips on how to make your 25th Silver wedding anniversary impressive even on very low budget.
1. Decide if you want a very private celebration or if you want to throw a great party and celebrate this day with friends and family.
2. Consider your budget. How much you can afford? If there are financial help then you can adjust your budget. Decide the tone of the celebration. Formal or not. Casual or not. Their decision will still be heavily dependent on the budget of the couple’s preferences.
3. Who are you inviting? If you are tight on budget you may stick to family members and close friends only. If your budget is big invite everyone since this is a grand day to celebrate anyway. Make a list of the expected guests. Invite family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and even playmates.
4. Is it going to be a church wedding with full entourage and full church wedding ceremony or renewal of vows only in the presence of few family members and friends?
5. If it is going to be renewal of vows then you don’t have buy or rent attire for the full entourage. You can go to the church and ask the priest to bless both of you after saying your renewal of vows for each other then off you go to your home or a restaurant where foods are prepared for the celebration.
6. If it is going to be a church wedding with full entourage and full church wedding ceremony, you still can make it grand even on low budget. How? Through your creativity and use of very practical ideas.

Children: joy to parents

0

The joy that a child brings into a family can not just be put simply into words. The feelings of new parents having new baby in the family is indescribable. There is always joy to seeing their child's eyes move, protruding lips as if wanting to talk, arms as if reaching for something, legs kicking and hearing that little voice. Parents are all the more happier seeing their child's 1st moments. The parents are often delighted to see their child's first smile, first word, first to roll over, and first step, that they always keep a record of it. In the absence of new technology parents before just take note of the date that these 1st moments were made. Now with new gadgets at hand, these first beautiful moments were captured in digital and video cameras. Parents are never bored reviewing captured moments of their child from time to time. Certainly, children are always source of joy of parents.

Happiness

Happiness is not hard to find because it is always by your side. Happiness is lost only when you close your eyes and when you choose to block your mind and heart to everything beautiful around you. Choose to be happy because if you do so, everything around you will be very bright. There will be no dull moment. And when you are happy you are sure away from illnesses. It is said that people who are voracious about everything beautiful around them have longer life than with people who are gloomy and miserable. People who invest so much on bad emotions are prone to sickness. The bad emotions that weakens organ in the body are: Anger affects the liver; Grief affects your lungs; Worry upsets your stomach; Stress affects your heart and brain and Fear affects your kidney. STAY HAPPY because that's what GOD wants for us.
